To be healthy and glow, your skin needs a good support system. Learn about the fab ingredients (your new best friends) that you will thank every time you apply your skincare.
At evre. we believe that feeling good and looking good starts by using ingredients that are safe for your health but also for the environment. This is why we don’t take short cuts and we carefully select the ingredients that are in our products. It takes more time and effort, but it is so worth it! We know you’re like us and love to understand what you put on your skin, so let us introduce you to a few of your skin’s pretty cool new friends.
The Nourishing Squad
Mango Seed Butter: This creamy butter is made from the oil of mango seeds, which is packed with vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants to nourish but also protect your skin. Because it’s also full of good fats, it’s nourishment heaven for your skin. You can get all its goodness in our Get Your Glow On Mango Shimmer Body Butter, which leaves your skin buttery soft and glowing with a hint of a summer holiday shimmer.
Mānuka Honey: The world envies New Zealand for this super star ingredient for a good reason. It is deeply nourishing and helps your skin to regenerate. We choose active 10+UMF (Unique Mānuka Factor, the most complete grading system for Mānuka), which is the level that is proven to give skincare solid anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits. Great to keep bacteria – and acne – at bay, it also keeps your skin plump and hydrated, protects it and, last but not least, it helps your skin to repair itself. Of course, we had to make it the star of our moisturiser Super Nice Mānuka Honey & Vitamin E Face Moisturiser, which is literally everything your skin needs to keep healthy every day.
Coconut Oil: An easily absorbed and highly moisturising oil with a high content of fatty acids and anti-inflammatory properties. Try it in our Time To Shine Raspberry & Almond Gentle Face Scrub, you will love how nourishing and comforting it makes your skin feel and how plump and glowing it will leave it too.
The Balancing Crew
Kaolin Clay: An oily skin dream ingredient, this naturally derived clay absorbs the excess sebum and the debris that clutter the surface of your skin like dead skin cells and grime. Your skin’s cleaning helper, it clears out your pores, so your skin is healthy. You will find it in It’s A Vibe Kiwi & Avo Face Mud Mask, which will leave your skin clean and ready to absorb the goodness of other star ingredients.
Willow Bark Extract: This acne-fighting plant extract contains salicin, which becomes salicylic acid, a powerful oil reducer and pore minimiser but also a great natural exfoliant. We used it in It’s A Vibe Kiwi & Avo Face Mud Mask, because it helps the skin shed its dead skin cells and unclogs your pores.
Rosewater: An oldie but a goodie, rosewater has been used for centuries for its hydrating and soothing benefits. But we especially love it for another superpower. It is highly balancing, so perfect when your natural oil production goes up and down. Added bonus, it also reduces redness and flushing. This is why we used it in skin saviour Wake Me Up Watermelon & Rose Face Mist.
The Protective Club
Hyaluronic Acid: Your skin naturally contains moisture-retaining, protective hyaluronic acid so it was a no-brainer for us that using an ingredient that your body makes should be a plant-derived ingredient, not a synthetic option. A very important component of your skin, hyaluronic acid has the capacity to attract and hold 1000x its weight in moisture. It’s your skin’s reservoir tank! If you want to test its plumping and repairing benefits, try our Treat Yo’Self Very Berry Hyaluronic Hydration Jelly Face Mask, which is your skin’s 5-star spa treatment – just without having to leave home or sacrificing your monthly fun funds!
Pineapple Fruit Extract: A very efficient natural exfoliant, this fruit extract contains a popular enzyme called bromelain, which helps to repair your skin. It’s also packed with your skin’s bodyguard, vitamin C, which boosts your glow too. Because we wanted a cleanser that does more than just cleansing, we added it to our Oh So Extra Pineapple & Coconut Face Cleanser.
Blueberry Seed Oil: A true superfood for your skin, it contains the cell-renewing, super protecting cocktail of vitamins A, C, and E. But that's not all, it also contains resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant, which both defends and repairs your skin by neutralising damaging free radicals like UV light and strengthening your skin. The result is a firmer, healthier, stronger skin. No wonder we needed to pack it into our Treat Yo’Self Very Berry Hyaluronic Hydration Jelly Face Mask.
The Repairing Team
Aloe Vera Leaf Juice: You may already know how good it is for your digestion, but it is also very nourishing and soothing for your skin. Because it is rich in vitamins C, E and beta carotene, it helps to keep your skin firm and supple but also to reduce any flakiness. Try it in our Get Your Glow On Mango Shimmer Body Butter, which will make your skin feel alive after a long day at the beach.
Goji Berry Seed Oil: Your skin’s caring friend, it is packed with a whopping 17 (yes, that many) essential amino acids (your body’s little building blocks). It is also rich in antioxidants and high in vitamin C, which makes this anti-inflammatory cocktail the perfect solution to calm, soothe and revive parched skin. Another goodie we added to Treat Yo’Self Very Berry Hyaluronic Hydration Jelly Face Mask.
Oat Kernel Extract: This natural extract does wonder to protect your skin’s natural barrier but also to repair and soothe skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis as well as itchy, dry skin. Nourishing and calming, it is a great ingredient for irritated or sensitive skins. When we tell you that our Treat Yo’Self Very Berry Hyaluronic Hydration Jelly Face Mask is a skin saviour, we are not kidding, it’s simply packed with goodness.
